Rethinking Niche

October 10, 12pm -2pm EST

I think one of the worst pieces of advice that any new coach could ever hear is to “pick a niche.”

But over and over, the coaching industry pushes coaches to decide who they want to help…before they’ve ever had a chance to coach.

It’s the equivalent of telling a chef just out of culinary school to choose a menu for a new restaurant…before she’s ever worked in a real kitchen.

As coaches, we have an opportunity to rethink our common assumptions about niche.

Because your niche isn’t just who you help.

And it shouldn’t be something that you have to decide on before you start actually coaching.

In this 2-hr class, we’re going to rethink niche. We’ll cover:

  • Why the way we define “niche” now is a problem for new and seasoned coaches alike.

  • That niche is not something you can just choose, but rather something that emerges over time.

  • Discover a better question to ask yourself, instead of “What’s my niche?

  • How to move forward even if you don’t yet know who you want to help.

  • An activity that will give you ideas for your next coaching project.

BONUS: 30 days of additional support

The conversation about your niche doesn’t stop at the end of class.

In fact, it’s just the beginning of the conversation.

After class, you’ll receive an invitation to a private group on Volley (a messaging platform) where you’ll have 30 days to ask questions, workshop your ideas, and brainstorm your next steps directly with me.
